Geomembranes are plane, thin polymeric products under the form of foils, with extremely lower permeability, used for lining (waterproofing), in contact with soils or other materials.
Geomembrane's quality assurance begins through the choice of the used synthetic resin. High quality polyethylenes are made to answer to the extremely exigencies imposed on geomembranes. Membranes from high density polyethylene (HDPE) have an excellent chemical resistance, resistance to environmental factors and high temperatures, have a wide range of thicknesses (0,3 mm ÷ 5 mm), they don't present danger for users, for the environment and peoples' health, they aren't toxic and don't pollute.

Now there is a wide range of types of geomembranes which are commercialized by us, such as: smooth and rough geomembranes of high density polyethylene, flexible geomembranes, special geomembranes, geomembranes with studs and geomembranes for tunnels lining.
- HDPE Geomembrane is made from high density polyethylene of high quality. They can have both sided smooth or can be rough on one side or two sides. Has black color and contains approximately 97,5 % polyethylene, 2,5 % carbon black, antioxidants and heat stabilizers. Has a remarkable resistance to UV radiation and can be installed in various conditions. Rough geomembrane has excellent friction properties which permit it's installation on slopes on safety conditions.

- Flexible geomembrane is made from low density polyethylene. Its high uniaxial and multiaxial elongation characteristics make it very suitable for any application where elongation or puncture resistance is critical. Contains approximately 97,5 % polyethylene, 2,5 % carbon black, antioxidants and heat stabilizers. It has smooth or rough faces. Can be used also on steep slopes where high friction characteristics are needed. Smooth borders on 15 cm width permit a quick and easy welding. Is recommended in places with different settlements where an additional friction between layers is requested.

- Special geomembrane is smooth and has on one side a thin layer of white color which reflects light. This layer reduces heat accumulation. Other variants can have electro-conductive white layer and one or both faces textured.

- Stud-liner is designed to protect the concrete structures. Are special made to an optimum taking over of forces' distribution, especially at temperature's exchange or water pressure's appearance. It is made on two standard colors. The black one is used on sun exposing and the grey one is used at works which are not exposed to the sun.

- Geomembrane for tunnels' waterproofing is made from very flexible polyethylene and is structured in one central black layer and two external white layers. They are produced in two degrees of fire resistance: B1 and B2.

Geomembranes are successfully used at:
- lining for: tanks, basins of treatment and purifying waste water
- water storages' and ponds' lining
- concrete structures' protection against soil humidity, against water with or without hydrostatics pressure
- lining for industrial, agricultural and municipal landfills
- channels, tunnels and earth dams' waterproofing
- protection for metal structures from petrochemical industry
- hydro-technical constructions
- constructions for soil ameliorations
- gas stations, etc.
