We carry out analysis regarding gas composition generated inside a landfill waste through our accredited Testing Lab.
Landfill waste gas is an mixture of hundreds of different gases which normally consist of 50-60% methane and 40%-60% CO2 but also small quantities of nitrogen, oxygen, amonia, sulphuret, hydrogen, carbon monoxide and organic non metallic compounds.
The lab equipment give useful information about the gas quality and concentration inside a landfill waste thus:
• 5 standard gases are detected and studied: CH4, CO2, O2, CO, H2S                                  
• Maximum amount for CH4 is recorded and simultaneously for the other gases
• The detection principle is represented by infrared cell for CO2 and CH4 and electrochemical cell for O2, CO, H2S
• Temperature measurement is taken.

Realizing steps:
a) Preparation step: device’s calibration
Before carrying out analysis, the device is calibrated (brought to zero)
b)Field step: biogas capture wells identification, field measurement.
Based on field measurement, the landfill waste concentration map can be realized. Thus, inside a landfill waste that contains gas capturing wells we can check if these are positioned correctly. At a landfill waste that does not have a gas capturing system we can determine the correct placing of all capturing wells, avoiding bad positioning of these wells.
c) Interpretation step: explaining experimental data
All data recorded by the device are transferred on a chart, based on which we prepare:
- Graphs representing gas concentration function of recorded point;
- Gas concentration distribution.
